6 Ways Tea Tree Can Make Your Home Cleaner
Melaleuca essential oil, or commonly known as Tea Tree, is well-known for its purifying qualities. It’s useful for home surfaces, purifying the air and promoting healthy immune function, making it one of my favourites for cleaning around the home to help protect against environmental threats. For you, I’ve listed my six go-to cleaning recipes with Tea Tree oil, to help replace any chemical-laden products you may be wanting to remove at home.
- Toilet Cleaner
Dilute 10 drops of doTERRA Tea Tree essential oil, 1/2 cup of baking soda and 1/4 cup vinegar to use for the fun job of cleaning the toilets at home.
- Washing Refresher
Add 2 drops of doTERRA Tea Tree essential oil to your laundry detergent for a refreshing and purifying fragrance in your laundry.
- Soap
doTERRA Tea Tree essential oil is great for remover permanent marker from the skin. Make sure you dilute with a carrier oil before applying topically.
- Mattress Refresher
Dilute 5 drops of doTERRA Tea Tree essential oil with water in a spray bottle to apply to your mattress when changing the sheets.
- Household Spray
Dilute 8-10 drops of doTERRA Tea Tree essential oil with water in a spray bottle for a general purpose household spray.
- Mold Reducer
Mix Tea Tree, Lemon and Clove essential oils in a spray bottle, diluted with water. Spray in damp areas to help reduce mold build-up around the home.
